Dexter
Bean and his BlackJack Racing Team will participate in both The Big 8
Series and CRA Super Series Events at the Midwest Short Track
Championships at Rockford Speedway September 22-23-25.
Bean
pilots the #25 Monte Carlo with sponsorship from Five Star Telecom and
Badger Environmental. Dexter and crew chief, Chris Bires prepare the
BlackJack Racing cars at their shop in Westby, Wisconsin located about
25 miles from LaCrosse.
Bean
is a 2005 Westby High School graduate and now devotes 100% of his time
to his racing program. Dexter is a regular competitor in the NASCAR
Auto Zone Elite Midwest Division where he currently sits 7th overall
in the point's chase. In 2005, Dexter has run three ARCA/ReMax Series
events at Daytona, Michigan and Chicagoland Speedways with finishes of
25th, 9th and 14th respectively. He ran both Miller Lite National
events at Madison and Slinger, the MARS event at the Milwaukee Mile
and a limited schedule in the Wisconsin Challenge Series where he
recorded a win at Wisconsin Dells. He will participate in the final
Auto Zone Elite race at La Crosse during Oktoberfest.
In
2003 Dexter finished third at the National Short Track
Championships at Rockford in the limited late model division. He looks
forward to returning to Rockford and the competition there. With races
recently at Michigan, Chicagoland and the Milwaukee Mile, Dexter says
he welcomes getting back to "the more demanding track that Rockford
is". He adds, "I like the close hard racing, the bump and run, the
aggressive driving style that Rockford demands. It?s a fun track due
to the high banking. You have to run hard every lap. Rockford is a
difficult track with tight racing, and I look forward to having
another go at it there."
