Salem, IN (October 25, 2005) – Champion Racing Association has announced that the 2005 Champion Racing Association Awards Banquet will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Downtown Indianapolis, Indiana, the sight of the last three season’s memorable celebrations. The 2005 Awards Banquet will be held on Saturday evening, January 7, 2006, were the 2005 CRA Super Series Owner and Driver Champions will be honored along with all the top fifteen teams in 2005 CRA Super Series Owners Points. The 2005 Cometic Gasket/Finishline Fabricating Rookie Of The Year Award winner with the CRA Super Series will be honored and will lead a group of selected CRA Super Series drivers that will be awarded individual special awards at the Awards Banquet.

The inaugural CRA Street Stock Champion will also be honored that evening along with the other top five finishers in 2005 CRA Street Stock points. Invitations for the banquet will be mailed out early next month.

The Crowne Plaza Hotel is located in the historic Union Station in downtown Indianapolis, America’s first ever Union Station. The hotel has 275 guest rooms, including twenty-six Pullman train cars still sitting on original tracks, which have been converted to guest rooms. The Champion Racing Association Awards Banquet will be held in the Great Hall, a part of the historic original Union Station building.

There will be a reception to start the evening’s events at 6PM, followed by a buffet dinner at 7PM, with the awards ceremony immediately following at approximately 8PM. There will be several special announcements made concerning the 2006-racing season, and there will be several product items that will be given away by random draw of any team present from the CRA Super Series. Some of the products that will be given away by random draw include a complete body from Five Star Racecar Bodies, a 50% off certificate for a body from Five Star Racecar Bodies, two 50% off certificates for a body from ARP Stockcar Bodies, a welder from Lincoln Welders, a set of Nomex Racing Shoes and a set of Nomex Racing Gloves from Leaf Racewear.

Room reservations need to be made prior to Monday, December 19, 2005, at that time the hold on the series room block will expire. Make your room reservations early, the hotel sold out of rooms last year prior to the banquet.
