The Scott Performance Wire Five
State Challenge To Begin Sunday At Winchester Speedway
Salem, IN (May 18, 2005) – The
Scott Performance Wire Five State Challenge, an award program based
upon five selected CRA Super Series points events in the five states
the series will have
points
events in 2005, is set to begin this Sunday, May 22nd in
the Manning Service 100 Presented By Spray Power at Winchester
Speedway, located in Winchester, Indiana. The other events involved
with the Scott Performance Wire Five State Challenge will be the May
29th event at Toledo Speedway located in Toledo, Ohio, the
July 31st event at Kalamazoo Speedway located in Kalamazoo,
Michigan, the September 25th event at Rockford Speedway
located in Rockford, Illinois, and the October 1st event at
I-70 Speedway located in Odessa, MO.
The Scott Performance Wire Five State
Challenge will pay the driver who gets the most series points in the
five events a $500 bonus and a set of Scott Performance Wires. The
second place driver in the Scott Performance Wire Tri-State Challenge
will receive a $300 bonus. The third place driver in the Scott
Performance Wire Tri-State Challenge will receive a $200 bonus. Scott
Performance Wire will also award the 2005 CRA Super Series Champion
with a set of Scott Performance Wires and an additional set of Scott
Performance Wires that will be given away by random draw of the top
fifteen teams in final series points at the 2005 series awards
banquet.
Scott Hantz won the 2004 Scott
Performance Wire Tri-State Challenge with 392 total points over second
place Junior Hanley with 348 points. In the four races that made up
last years challenge, Hantz got one win, two seconds and a fourth
place finish to claim the award. Finishing in third was 2004 Rookie Of
The Year Chris Gabehart with 333 points, in fourth was 2005 CRA Super
Series Champion Chuck Barnes Jr. with 332 points, and finishing fifth
was Steve Moenck with 322 points.
