Rick Turner With Great Deals Will Run For
The 2005 CRA Super Series Championship
Muncie, IN (March 13, 2005) -
Jim Mougeotte, President and CEO, of Great Deals of Indiana
announced today that Great Deals of Indiana will be back as the primary
sponsor for the Great Deals # 26 Rick Turner Ford. Mougeotte
stated..."We have been just so pleased with the association with Rick
Turner and his team that it was a "no brainer" to come back for our
fourth year as the primary sponsor" "Three years ago we joined up with
Rick and had a three year plan to grow this team to a major factor in
the CRA Super Series...We have now done this and its time to move this
effort to the next level".
Turner last year teamed with Dewaine McGunegill of McGunegill Engine
Performance of Muncie, Indiana to spearhead the development of a new
sealed engine for the CRA Super Series...That relationship produced the
best finish ever for the Great Deals # 26 Rick Turner Monte Carlo as
Turner finished a sixth overall in the 2004 point standings. From that
performance came many requests for McGunegill to build a Ford powerplant.
Over the Winter McGunegil Engine Performance and the Great Deals team
decided to build and test the new engine and to debut the new engine in
an all new Great Deals Ford for 2005.
Turner said..."We had a great year last year and the McGunegill Sealed
Engine did everything it was to do and we finished the highest we have
ever finished in the series. This year we will be running for the
Championship".
The Great Deals # 26 Rick Turner Ford Taurus will be carrying the
sponsorship of McGunegill Engine Performance, AJ's High Speed Graphics,
Anderson NAPA, Ricks Service Center, Bailey's Muncie/Yorktown
Dry Cleaners, Gaddis Chrysler Dodge, with special thanks to Tom Woodring Painting.
Turner said..."Without the help of our sponsors we would not be in a
position to run this series...I want to thank them all for the
confidence they have had in myself and the Great Deals racing team".
