Weaver Will Compete In Saturday’s CRA Super Series Event At Berlin
Raceway
Salem, IN (June 15, 2005) –
Hendricks County Motorsports has announced that ARCA RE/Max Series
driver Ken Weaver will compete in this Saturday’s Holland Motor Homes
Renegade 125 CRA Super
Series Presented By Spray Power event at Berlin
Raceway. Weaver, a native of Dallas, Texas, is currently 4th
in ARCA RE/Max Series points heading into this Friday’s ARCA RE/Max
Series event at Michigan International Speedway. Weaver has one top
five finish and three top ten finishes in the series eight events so
far this season.
Weaver will stay an extra day in
Michigan to compete in Saturday’s CRA Super Series event in an effort
to get track time on the tricky Berlin Raceway oval before the July 16th
ARCA RE/Max Series event scheduled there. Weaver will be competing in
the Hendricks County Motorsports second car which has been raced this
season in series events by Sam Breedlove at Indianapolis Raceway Park
and by Kent Robinson at Columbus Speedway. Hendricks County
Motorsports is owned by Indianapolis business man Jim Winters, who’s
main car is driven by Chris Gabehart the 2004 CRA Super Series Rookie
Of The Year, who is currently fifth in series points and picked up his
first series win at Winchester Speedway on May 22.
Weaver’s Crew Chief is former CRA
Super Series competitor and Indiana native Scott Neal, who now lives
in North Carolina overseeing Weaver’s ARCA RE/Max Series team. Neal
has been to victory lane as a driver with the CRA Super Series and
with the ARCA RE/Max Series.
Pit gates will open for Saturday’s
event at Berlin Raceway at 11am, Michigan time. CRA Super Series
practice will begin at 1:45pm with Qualifying at 5:15pm. The race
program will begin at 7pm and will include the Holland Motor Homes
Renegade 125 for the CRA Super Series Presented By Spray Power. More
