The Winner Of The Stash Kullman
Chicagoland Showdown Bonus To Be Determined Saturday Night At Illiana
Motor Speedway
Salem, IN (June 22, 2005) –
The winner of the Stash Kullman Chicagoland Showdown Bonus will be
determined this Saturday night at Illiana Motor Speedway in the CRA
Super Series 4th Annual Elmer Musgrave Memorial 100
Presented By Texas Corral. The first round of the bonus was the 7th
Annual Rod Baker Ford George Appleton Memorial 125 held on June 12th
at Grundy County Speedway. Drivers were awarded points based on
qualifying and there finish in the event, and will be awarded points
in the same manner on Saturday night. The driver with the most overall
points between the two events will be the winner of the Stash Kullman
Chicagoland Showdown Bonus and will receive $2,500. The second highest
in points will receive $1,500, and the third place driver will receive
a $1,000 bonus.
Lake Geneva, Wisconsin native Ryan
Mathews was the point’s leader after the first event. Mathews came
away with 46 points after being the events Fast Qualifier and
finishing in third place. Pardeeville, Wisconsin native Nathan Haseleu
is currently in second with 45 points after being the events third
fastest qualifier and finishing second in the event. Wausau, Wisconsin
native Jeremy Lepak is currently tied for third with Brett Sontag with
43 points apiece. Lepak was the winner of the 7th Annual
Rod Baker Ford George Appleton Memorial 125.
Mathews, Haseleu, and Lepak are all
pre-entered for this Saturday’s event. Fifth place in points with 38
is Dave Weltmeyer and sixth in points with 36 is Eddie Hoffman, both
these drivers are also pre-entered for Saturday’s event at Illiana
Motor Speedway. Ninth in points with 34 is Boris Jurkovic, the current
leader in Finishline Fabricating/Cometic Gasket Rookie Of The Year
points and in tenth with 33 points is current CRA Super Series
Co-Points Leader Scott Hantz, both of these drivers are also
pre-entered for Saturday’s event. All seven drivers pre-entered for
Saturday’s event are still all in contention for the top three bonus
paying positions.
Pit gates open for the 4th
Annual Elmer Musgrave Memorial 100 Presented By Texas Corral at 1PM.
Practice will begin at 3:30PM with qualifying at 5:30PM. There will be
a 20-minute autograph session beginning at 6:25PM. The night’s race
program will begin at 7PM and will include the 4th Annual
Elmer Musgrave Memorial 100 Presented By Texas Corral for the CRA
Super Series Presented By Spray Power. The top three finishers of the
Stash Kullman Chicagoland Showdown Bonus will be honored immediately
following the Elmer Musgrave Memorial event.
