Chris Gabehart Still Leads The
Scott Performance Wire Five State Challenge Heading To Kalamazoo
Speedway
Salem, IN (July 22, 2005) –
Chris Gabehart takes a six-point lead into the third round of the
Scott Performance Wire Five State Challenge, an award program based
upon five selected
CRA
Super Series points events in the five states the series will have
points events in 2005, heading into the July 31st CRA Super Series
event at Kalamazoo Speedway. Gabehart grabbed the lead by winning the
Manning Service 100 Presented By Spray Power at Winchester Speedway on
May 22, he followed that up with a ninth place finish in the A.P.
Racing Engines 100 Presented By Spray Power in the second round at
Toledo Speedway on May 29th along with taking the Bicycle
Clay Poker Chips – Menards Fast Qualifier Award at Toledo. The other
events involved with the Scott Performance Wire Five State Challenge
include the September 25th event at Rockford Speedway
located in Rockford, Illinois, and the October 1st event at
I-70 Speedway located in Odessa, MO.
The Scott Performance Wire Five State
Challenge will pay the driver who gets the most series points in the
five events a $500 bonus and a set of Scott Performance Wires. The
second place driver in the Scott Performance Wire Tri-State Challenge
will receive a $300 bonus. The third place driver in the Scott
Performance Wire Tri-State Challenge will receive a $200 bonus. Scott
Performance Wire will also award the 2005 CRA Super Series Champion
with a set of Scott Performance Wires and an additional set of Scott
Performance Wires that will be given away by random draw of the top
fifteen teams in final series points at the 2005 series awards
banquet.
Gabehart leads Scott Hantz by six
points. Eddie Hoffman is third seventeen points behind.16 year old
Landon Cassill is fourth eighteen points behind, while Eddie Van Meter
is fifth thirty-three points behind.
