Lane Celebrates Second Victory With MEP Sealed Engine

Muncie, IN (July 9, 2005) - Knightstown IN's Jeff Lane recently secured his second victory in the CRA Super Series with a McGunegill Engine Performance (MEP) G.M. Sealed Engine.  Lane powered to the win from his 9th place starting position in the 125-lap event at Angola Motor Speedway over the July 4th weekend. His victory at the 3/8th's mile facility comes on the heels of his third place finish at the 1/2 mile Illiana Speedway the week before.  Over the past year, four different teams have utilized MEP sealed engines, including Indiana driver Rick Turner in the recently introduced Ford version.  The MEP sealed engines are specific "race-built" engines and sealed and numbered for tech inspection purposes of the series utilizing them.

The MEP sealed engine is approved for competition at all CRA Super Series events, including the All American 400, and Speedfest in Lakeland Florida.  Last year, Landon Cassill qualified for the prestigious Snowball Derby with a McGunegill sealed engine.  The G.M. version lists for $13,500 and comes complete with track support and a warranty.  One-year lease options start at $7,500, bringing the engine cost for a complete season of racing with the CRA Super Series to an extremely affordable level.

Those interested at competing at the highest levels of Super Late Model racing, with a guaranteed engine for a fraction of the cost, should contact McGunegill Engine Performance at 765-282-1913 or visit their display at all
CRA Super Series events.
