(January 19, 2005) – CRA Super Series 2003 Champion Bobby Parsley has
announced that he’ll compete in the three 50-lap Super Late Model events
at Anderson Speedway in 2005.
"I’m excited about the chance of racing at Anderson
Speedway in 50 lap events with no points on the line," said Bobby Parsley.
"The smaller distance will make for a great show for the fans as you’ll
have to drive as hard as possible all race long."
Parsley has constructed an impressive driving resume in a
short period of time, scoring victories in historic events such as the
Anderson 400 and Winchester 400. He was also crowned the 2003 CRA Super
Series champion.
The Shepherdsville, Ky., racer has made 18 appearances at
Anderson Speedway in the CRA Super Series, collecting two victories, seven
top-five finishes and nine top 10s. In 2003, he produced an impressive
string of results, recording victories in the April 150-lap race and also
earning the prestigious Anderson 400 crown. In the final stop in
September, he crossed the finish line in fourth position.
"I’ve have always enjoyed racing at Anderson and look
forward to racing the Super Late Model races and CRA events there this
year. It’s a fast quarter-mile oval and a fun place to drive a Late
Model," added Parsley.
The 21-year-old Parsley is also expected to compete in the
full CRA Super Series schedule and make several appearances in the
Ohio-based Main Event Racing Series. He will receive sponsorship from
Crown Spray Power and his parents, Tiger and Lois Parsley.
The CRA Super Series will compete at Anderson Speedway on
April 16 in a 125-lap event, July 15-16 in the 39th Annual Anderson 400
and the final event is slated for August 13. Anderson Speedway will host
50-lap Super Late Model events on May 7, June 11 and September 17.
