Salem, IN (August 4, 2005) – Independence, Missouri driver Billy Crane still leads the Howe Racing Performance Award Season Standings after eleven CRA Super Series Presented By Spray Power point’s events so far this season. Howe Racing will award the driver who gains the highest number of positions through out the entire 2005 season, that is in the top fifteen in final CRA Super Series points, with a $400 cash bonus at the 2005 series awards banquet. To date Crane has now gained 87 total positions, which is an average of 8 gained positions per event so far during the 2005 season. The young teenager, who is competing for the series FLF Racecars/Cometic Gasket Rookie Of The Year Award, is currently 12^th in season driver points and 3^rd in the FLF Racecars/Cometic Gasket Rookie Of The Year Points.

Veteran racer Eddie Hoffman has now moved into second with 52 gained positions so far this season. Hoffman is currently 3^rd in season driver points while his team, TK Racing, is currently leading the series owner’s points. Hoffman’s biggest gain race of the season came in the Anderson 400 on July 16th, were he started in 20^th position and won the event. Hoffman was the ISKY Racing Cams/Lane Automotive Hardcharger Award winner for that event.

16-year-old Landon Cassill is currently in third with 51 gained positions. Cassill has only raced with the series on a part-time basis in 2005 while competing full-time with the ASA Late Model Series. Jason Shively is in currently in fourth with 41 gained positions, he is also just running part-time during the 2005 season. Rounding out the top five is Jack Landis with 13 gained positions.
