CRA CHAPLAINS CELEBRATE 50 YEARS OF MARRIAGE AT BERLIN!
Salem, IN (August 15, 2005) - Champion Racing
Association Chaplain Wayne Moeckel and his wife Nancy are celebrating
their "Golden Anniversary", 50 years of marriage on August the 19th.
They have a big three day celebration, with Nancy’s birthday on the 17th,
and Wayne’s birthday on the 18th, and then
they
were married on the 19th, 1955, in Grand Rapids, MI.
They have been attending races at Berlin Raceway,
for all of those 50 years. They also attended many races at the old "Speedrome"
(in Comstock Park) until it closed in the 60’s. Wayne had a Sign
Business in Grand Rapids for 50 years, and was known for the Graphics
and lettering that he provided for hundreds of Race Cars over the
years.
"Victory Chapel Ministries" is now going on 12
years, with the first 8 years spent as Chaplain at American Speed
Association, before its demise. They have served the CRA series for
the last three years, and love and care for the teams, drivers and
families there very well. If time permits, they have a short Chapel
session, and then the Chaplain prays with most of the drivers at the
starting line before the race. Their ministry is a total "Faith
Ministry", supported only by the gifts of friends and the racing
family.
They will testify that God has truly blessed their
lives together, and they are looking to many more years.
They can be reached at P.O. Box 844, Commerce, GA
30529, or be sure and greet them at the Berlin Race.
