iCard® NEWEST CRA SUPER SERIES’ PARTNER
AS "OFFICIAL WIRELESS TIMING & SCORING DISPLAY" SYSTEM
CRA Super Series and SPP Services today announced iCard®
Real-Time Race Information system shall be available to CRA fans and
competitors at all the Series’ 2005 events.
iCard® allows fans and competitors real-time wireless
access to scoring data, late-breaking announcements as the action
unfolds. ICard delivers this information in two ways: (a) is a slim
cartridge that fits into the game slot on a Nintendo®
handheld GameBoy® Color, Advance, or Advance SP models and
(b) directly onto competitor’s and race official’s computers or
laptops with the new iCard®USB. With either model, use
allows iCard® customers to receive the iCard®
broadcast at the track. Users may access a wide range of information
with several menu options: event schedule, real time and archived
practice and qualifying results, breaking announcements and race
standings yielding unprecedented access to up-to-the-minute
information on times, speeds and race data at all 2005 events. iCard®USB
receives and archives the same content on a PC while at the track. All
the iCard® products will be available at trackside from
Racing Electronics or online at www.iCardUS.com.
Available in regular, Pro, and USB models, iCard® was
developed to work with automated Timing & Scoring systems, relaying
data linked to driver names, car numbers and other pertinent
information. The data transfer is instantaneous, keeping fans and team
members up-to-date with timely info.
The iCard® System, currently utilized by numerous
motorsports sanctioning bodies, is expected to make its official CRA
debut at Anderson, IN April 16. CRA President R.J. Scott added, "There
is no doubt that the ability to deliver this kind of information in
such a reliable, clean, efficient, and timely manner will make our
events even more enjoyable for our competitors and fans. We’re just
glad to have iCard on board and for the commitment they are making to
our events."
"We are very please to bring iCard to the CRA Super Series," states
Richard Purgason, Vice-President, Business Development for SPP
Services, LLC of Buford, Ga. "iCard® is a perfect fit for
the short track racer and we’re very pleased to make what we hope is
the first of many announcements that our customers can use their iCard®
in this, what we see as a vibrant and important oval track series."
The iCard® system is in place at all USAR Hooter’s Pro
Cup events, both the NHRA national and Division 4 events, IHRA
national events , IRL, Champ Car World Series, Grand Am, American Le
Mans, SCCA World Challenge, Trans-Am, USAC Silver Crown, and Kart
