Jeff Lane Wins The 2004
Five-Star RaceCar Bodies Challenge
Salem, IN (October 27, 2004) – Jeff
Lane won the 2004 Five Star RaceCar Bodies Challenge by the closest margin
in the four years that Five Star RaceCar Bodies has sponsored the award
with the Sunoco Super Series. The Five Star RaceCar
Bodies
Challenge was based on which series driver accumulated the most points
over the final two series point’s events of 2004, which included the
series event on October 17th at Baer Field Speedway and
concluding with the series 2004 Championship event this past Sunday at
Salem Speedway.
Lane
accumulated 196 points
in the two events, barely beating out last years Challenge winner Scott
Hantz and 2004 Sunoco Super Series Champion Chuck Barnes Jr., who both
were tied for second with 195 points. Lane will be awarded a Five-Star
Off-Set ABC Late Model RaceCar Body at the 2004 Sunoco Super Series Awards
Banquet on Saturday, January 15th, 2005 at the Crown Plaza
Hotel in Indianapolis, Indiana. Also 2004 Sunoco Super Series Rookie Of
The Year Chris Gabehart will be awarded a Five-Star Off-Set ABC Late Model
RaceCar Body as part of his rookie program award package and an additional
Five-Star Off-Set ABC Late Model RaceCar Body will be given away by random
draw of the top fifteen in final Sunoco Super Series points in attendance
at Awards Banquet.
