Gladiator™ GarageWorks Continues Sponsorship Of The Crew Chief Award Program

Salem, IN (May 4, 2004) – Sunoco Super Series officials along with representatives of Gladiator™ GarageWorks by Whirlpool Corporation have announced that Gladiator™ GarageWorks will continue to be the sponsor of the Gladiator™ GarageWorks Crew Chief Award Program as well as becoming the Official Garage Of The Sunoco Super Series for the 2004 season. The Gladiator™ GarageWorks Crew Chief Award Program will honor each Sunoco Super Series event winner’s crew chief with the Gladiator™ GarageWorks Crew Chief Of The Race Award. Each winner of the Gladiator™ GarageWorks Crew Chief Of The Race Award will receive $200 in product from Gladiator™ GarageWorks.

The Gladiator™ GarageWorks Crew Chief Award Program will also have an award for the crew chief of the year, which will be determined by points that crew chiefs will earn at every series event. The winning crew chief at every event will receive 15 points. The second place crew chief will receive 10 points, and the third place crew chief will receive 5 points. The crew chief with the most points at the end of the season will be the Gladiator™ GarageWorks Crew Chief Of The Year and will receive $1,000 in product from Gladiator™ GarageWorks.

Jeff Martin, crew chief for 2003 Sunoco Super Series Champion Bobby Parsley, was the first Gladiator™ GarageWorks Crew Chief Of The Year Award winner. Hayden Butler, Crew Chief for Jeff Lane, was the Gladiator™ GarageWorks Crew Chief Of The Race in the 2004 Sunoco Super Series season opener on Saturday, April 17th at Anderson Speedway and currently leads the Gladiator™ GarageWorks Crew Chief Of The Year Award points over Chuck Barnes Sr. and Jeff Martin.
