McGunegill Engine Performance Starts Production Run of
Ten Sealed Engines
Builder Driven By High Interest in
the Sunoco Super Series Sealed Engine Package
Muncie, IN (March 17, 2004) -
McGunegill Engine Performance (MEP) announced they have begun to build ten
Sealed Engines, due to great interest by competitors in the Sealed Engine
program for the Sunoco Super Series. The engine package is sold for under
$13,000.00 and comes with a warranty, an installation and maintenance
manual, and support at the race track. There will also be support for the
Technical Officials at the track following a seminar that will allow them
to fully learn about the engine, from internal parts to the finished
product.
After testing the first version of
the Sealed Engine in his car, Rick Turner was very pleased with the
results. "I was extremely impressed with the entire package. Amazing power
and throttle response from the engine combined with reasonable cost and
unmatched reliability should be extremely beneficial to all racers." That
reliability is backed up by the one year warranty that the MEP Sealed
Engine program carries.
For the racer who prefers Ford power,
an engine package is currently being developed that will be available in
the near future. MEP is also developing various Sealed Engine programs for
other race tracks and sanctioning bodies. The Florida Pro Series will be
running a test Sealed Engine for the 2004 season with plans to adopt it
for the 2005 season. "Sealed Engines will be a large part of short track
racing in the future, and we feel we are poised to take that to a new
level," stated DeWaine McGunegill of McGunegill Engine Performance.
MEP offers state of the art
facilities in-house with a DTS4000G Dyno as well as over 100 years
combined experience. Their engines are used successfully throughout the
United States, with over 50 track championships in the past five years.
They offer many options for the individual racer as well as a variety of
options to the meet the needs for tracks and series. MEP can meet the
demands of a series or track wanting to utilize a "Spec" or "Sealed"
engine, or the needs of a specific racer looking for a custom engine.
The MEP Sealed Engine will make its
debut in the Sunoco Super Series at the season opener at Anderson Speedway
on April 17th. For more information on this engine or other
programs, please call DeWaine McGunegill Jr. at McGunegill Engine
