Sunoco 100 Make-Up At
Toledo Speedway Will Take Place On Sunday, August 1
Salem, IN (June 10, 2004) - The
Sunoco 100, which was rained out at Toledo Speedway on Sunday, May 30th,
has been rescheduled for Sunday, August 1, 2004. There will be twin 100
lap features on that day for the Sunoco Super Series and the Main Event
Series. A complete schedule of events will be released at a later date,
but the race program will begin at 6PM on that Sunday.
The reschedule date sets up a Sunoco Super
Series double-header weekend. The Sunoco Super Series will race Saturday
night, July 31st at Shadybowl Speedway, and will then go up the road
about 2 hours to race the Sunoco 100 on the next day at Toledo Speedway.
"We really don't like to do two
consecutive races on our schedule," remarked Glenn Luckett, Sunoco Super
Series Director. "But this way we don't take away one of our open
weekends from our racers, and the tracks are really close so travel will
not be a big issue from Shadybowl to Toledo Speedway. This was really
the only weekend that worked for Toledo Speedway and the Main Event
Series, we look forward to having a big weekend of racing at both
tracks!"
