Tri-State Challenge To Begin Saturday At Berlin Raceway
Salem, IN (June 18, 2004)

The Scott Performance Wire Tri-State Challenge, an award program based
upon four selected Sunoco Super Series points events in three of the
states the series will visit in 2004, is set to begin this Saturday, June
19th in the Performance Engineering 150 at Berlin Raceway, located in
Marne, Michigan. The other events involved with the Scott Performance Wire
Tri-State
Challenge will be the July 17th Anderson 400 Presented By
Corteco at Anderson Speedway located in Anderson, Indiana, the September
12th event at Columbus Motor Speedway in Columbus, Ohio, and
the Sunoco Super Series Season Championship event on October 24th
at Salem Speedway located in Salem, Indiana.
The Scott Performance Wire
Tri-State Challenge will pay the driver who gets the most series points in
the four events a $400 bonus and a set of Scott Performance Wires. The
second place driver in the Scott Performance Wire Tri-State Challenge will
receive a $300 bonus. The third place driver in the Scott Performance Wire
Tri-State Challenge will receive a $200 bonus. Scott Performance Wire will
also award the 2004 Sunoco Super Series Champion with a set of Scott
Performance Wires and an additional set of Scott Performance Wires that
will be given away by random draw of the top fifteen teams in final series
points at the 2004 series awards banquet in January.

award up to include some cash bonuses for some very deserving drivers. The
award is designed to reward drivers for their performance and for
supporting the Sunoco Super Series in selected series events in Indiana,
Ohio and Michigan."
Jeff Lane won the 2003 Scott
Performance Wire Tri-State Challenge. Lane won two of the four
events with the 2003 Scott Performance Wire Tri-State Challenge, the wins
came at Mt. Lawn Speedway in New Castle, Indiana and at Shadybowl Speedway
located in DeGraff, Ohio. Lane finished second in the last event of the
2003 Scott Performance Wire Tri-State Challenge, the Sunoco 150, at
Anderson Speedway. Junior Hanley finished second and Eddie Van Meter
finished third in the 2003 Scott Performance Wire Tri-State Challenge.
