RINGERS GLOVES “X” LINE

 In
2001, Ringers Gloves teamed up with Chapman Thermal Products to introduce
the next wave of safety products in the motorsports, rescue and law
enforcement industries.
CarbonX®, produced
by Chapman Thermal Products, is a virtually fireproof material made by
“spinning O-PAN (oxidized polyacrylonitrile) with an Aramid strengthening
fiber.” The reason the material can hold a flame for an extreme amount of
time (120 seconds without burning through) is because the flame actually
carbonizes the material allowing it to expand and eliminate the amount of
oxygen within the fabric.
Later in 2001,
Ringers Gloves introduced the DriverX racing glove made of the CarbonX®
material.
Ringers Gloves
offers two different layers of the DriverX glove: the single layer rated
at SFI 3.3/1 and the double layer rated at 3.3/10.
In 2002, Ringers
unveiled two new CarbonX® made products, the FlightX glove and the UnderX
underwear line.
The FlightX glove
is used by military, law enforcement, SWAT, rescue and many other forms of
special force personnel and is very similar to the DriverX glove, but has
an unrestricted seamless trigger finger.
The UnderX line is
made of the same CarbonX® material as the DriverX and FlightX gloves.
The UnderX items
have a unique saddle cut shoulder design which eliminates nagging seams
and is stitched with double interlock Nomex® to insure long garment life.
As the CarbonX®
wicks away moisture with virtually zero water retention, keeping the body
and hands drier, it also cools and reduces fatigue at the same time.
Ringers Gloves
offers the UnderX line in mock long sleeve tops, short sleeve tops, long
pants, shorts and single-eye and double-eye port balaclavas.
In 2004, look for
Ringers to reintroduce the SFI 3.3/25 rated, four-layer NitroX glove.
