Racing Legends to Battle
Sunoco Super Series Stars at Columbus Motor Speedway on Sunday Sept. 12
Salem, IN (August 20,
2004) –
NASCAR Star Ken Schrader makes his return to Columbus Motor
Speedway on Sunday September 12th, as part of the 2nd
Annual Federated Auto Parts "Buckeye Bash" presented by K95. Schrader will
battle the likes of 7-time ASA Champion Mike Eddy and hometown hero, Gary
St. Amant. St. Amant has two ASA Championship of his own and is currently
the top rookie in the Hooters Pro-Cup Series.
The three visitors will have
their hands full when they go against the stars and cars of the Sunoco
Super Series in a 150 lap event presented by EMH&T. Some of the top short
track late model drivers call the Sunoco Super Series their home, and this
marks their only visit of the year. The Federated Auto Parts 150 is also
the longest event on the 2004 Columbus Motor Speedway schedule.
On the support card for the
day will be the Sizzle Marine 75 Outlaw Super Late Model Invitational
presented by Germain Chevrolet. This too, should be a star studded event
as the field is comprised of some of the best drivers from the Main Event
Racing Series, Columbus Motor Speedway, Sunoco Super Series, and
Michigan’s hotbed of talent. Rounding out the day’s action will the
Buckeye Power Sales Ohio State Championship 50 for Street Stocks.
In all, there are 275
feature laps of action planned for a 2pm start on Sunday, September 12th.
