Junior Hanley Goes
For His Third Straight Five-Star Racecar Bodies Challenge This Sunday In
The Car Brite 400 At Winchester Speedway
Salem, IN (September
29, 2003) –
Canadian racing legend Junior
Hanley will be trying to win
his third straight Five-Star Racecar Bodies Challenge this Sunday, October
5th in the 34th Annual Car Brite 400 at Winchester
Speedway. The Car Brite 400 will be the Sunoco Super Series season
championship event. The Five-Star Racecar Bodies Challenge awards a bonus
of a Five-Star Off-Set Late Model Racecar Body to the driver who
accumulates the most Sunoco Super Series points in the final two point
events of the 2003 Sunoco Super Series season.
Hanley and Scott Hantz
are both tied with 88 points a piece after the Rockford Speedway National
Short Track Championship Sunoco Super Series event held on September 21st,
the first of the last two series points races. There were five drivers who
received more points at the Rockford event, but none of those five are
entered in Sunday’s Car Brite 400. Also entered for Sunday’s event is Jeff
Lane with 86 points, Terry Fisher with 84 points and Chuck Barnes Jr. with
82 points.
Hanley claimed the
Five-Star Racecar Bodies Challenge at the end of the 2001 season with two
straight victories and in 2002 with a third and fourth place finish in the
final two point events. This will be the third season that Five-Star
Racecar Bodies has sponsored the Five-Star Racecar Bodies Challenge with
