Louisville, KY (July 9, 2003) – Gladiator™ GarageWorks by Whirlpool Corporation has announced that Gladiator™ GarageWorks will be the Primary Sponsor of Sunoco Super Series rookie driver Chuck Barnes Jr. for the remaining series races on the 2003 schedule. The sponsorship will include placement of the Gladiator™ GarageWorks logos on Barnes Jr.’s Sunoco Super Series racecar along with some scheduled appearances by Barnes Jr. and his Sunoco Super Series racecar at Gladiator™ GarageWorks promotional events.

The twenty one year old Louisville, Kentucky native is currently ninth in Sunoco Super Series Championship points and is leading the Hubler Automotive Group / Blake Carburetion Rookie Of The Year points. Barnes Jr.’s best finish so far in 2003 was a third place finish in the series event on May 26^th at Mt. Lawn Speedway, along with several strong qualifying results at tracks the rookie driver has never raced at prior to this season. Barnes Jr. will carry the Gladiator™ GarageWorks logos on his car for the first time in this Saturdays Anderson 400 Presented By Hooters at Anderson Speedway in Anderson, Indiana. 

Gladiator™ GarageWorks is sponsoring the Gladiator™ GarageWorks Crew Chief Award Program with the Sunoco Super Series for the 2003 season. The program will honor each Sunoco Super Series event winner’s crew chief with the Gladiator™ GarageWorks Crew Chief Of The Race Award and will award one series crew chief with the Gladiator™ GarageWorks Crew Chief Of The Year Award at the 2003 Sunoco Super Series Awards Banquet.
