Muller Motorsports
Forms Second Team For Veteran Todd Oliver
Indianapolis,
Ind. (February 4, 2003) -
Owner Ken Muller of Muller Motorsports
announced today that it would field a second team for Champion Racing
Association Sunoco Super Series veteran Todd Oliver. Oliver will join
long-time team driver Eddie Van Meter in a two-team assault on the 2003
Sunoco Super Series Championship. Sunoco, marking their fifth
consecutive year for the driver/sponsor partnership, will be displayed
on the blue and yellow number 94 driven by Todd Oliver.
"I have never been more
excited about an upcoming season then the one we are about to begin”
said Todd Oliver. “It is great to have Sunoco back again as they have
been a great sponsor. It is good to know that our race program makes
an impact for them. We received request for appearances from four or
five states last year.”
When
asked about Muller Motorsports, Todd added “At the end of 2002, Eddie
gave me the opportunity to drive a few of the team cars, visit their
shop and discuss racing philosophy and everything just seems to
click.”
In the Sunoco Super
Series record books, Muller Motorsports will be making history by
fielding the first, full-time two-car team.
“This is an exciting step
for Muller Motorsports” said Ken Muller. “The race shop has been busy
preparing Eddie's cars for Florida and getting all the new equipment
in place. By working together on setups and race strategies, both
drivers should benefit immediately.”
Primary sponsorship for
the number 23 driven by Eddie Van Meter is still being sought. Both
teams will enjoy associate sponsorship from Skiles Country Auto Parts,
Turbo Blue Racing Gasoline, Aluminum Racing Products, and Pepsi.
