Hendricks County
Motorsports Continues Lease Program
Indianapolis,
IN (February 10, 2003) -
Hendricks County Motorsports has announced
that they will have two Sunoco Super Series cars available on a lease
program for selected 2003 Sunoco Super Series events. The
Indianapolis-based team has been involved with the Sunoco Super Series
since the series beginning in 1997. Brian Rievley of Alexandria (IN) won
the 1998 Sunoco Super Series Championship driving for Hendricks County
Motorsports.
This past season Chet
Fillip drove a Hendricks County Motorsports car to victory in the 36th
Annual Chevy Dealers 400 at Anderson Speedway. Fillip drove in three
additional Sunoco Super Series events for Hendricks County Motorsports
finishing second at Indianapolis Raceway Park in August and fifth at IRP
in October. Fillip will be back with Hendricks County Motorsports to
defend his victory in the 400 at Anderson Speedway. Fillip will make
additional starts for Hendricks County Motorsports at Winchester
Speedway,
Indianapolis Raceway Park and at Fairgrounds Speedway in Nashville,
Tennessee.
Martin, Michigan veteran
driver Chris Orr drove the Hendricks County Chevrolet to a second place
finish at Kalamazoo Speedway last season. He also produced a fourth
place finish in the same car at Baer Field Speedway in August. Kyle
Busch, younger brother of Winston Cup star Kurt Busch, piloted a
Hendricks County Motorsports Chevrolet to a ninth place finish in the
Car Brite 200 at Winchester Speedway in October. Busch of Las Vegas (NV)
showed he had the fastest car on the track at the time when he managed
to make up two laps of the three circuits he lost in the pits with a
broken wheel.
