John Harris incorporated
Harris Calorific in 1905 in Cleveland, Ohio. He built the Company based
on a process he discovered by accident. Today, Harris Calorific is one
of the largest independent manufacturers of gas apparatus equipment in
the world. Harris Calorific products are sold and used in over 85
countries throughout the world with manufacturing facilities in
Gainesville, GA; Los Angeles, CA; Rathnew, Ireland and Bologna, Italy.
Lincoln Electric, the
parent company of Sunoco Super Series sponsor Lincoln Welders, purchased
Harris Calorific in 1990. The acquisition was a perfect match for both
organizations. It enabled Lincoln Electric to expand their high quality
welding product line. Harris Calorific benefits from the association
with the largest manufacturer of arc welding products in the world.
Together, the two organizations provide their customers with an expanded
portfolio of high quality products. Additional information can be found
