Texas Roadhouse and Cross
Country Inn Sponsor Buckeye Bash
Fans
Encouraged to stay at Cross Country Inn and Enjoy Dinner and the NASCAR
race at Texas Roadhouse
Salem, IN (August 27, 2003) –
Officials from the CRA/Sunoco
Super
Series announced the addition of two important sponsors for the Federated
Auto Parts Buckeye Bash presented by K95.5 on September 7th at
Columbus Motor Speedway.
Texas
Roadhouse has signed on as the “Official Caterer” of the event and will
provide their signature style items for the VIP patrons at the race track
on race day. Additionally, the brand new Polaris location will host
a K95.5 radio remote on Friday September 5th from 5:30 to 7:30.
During that evening drivers Gary St. Amant and Kyle Jones will have their
cars on display as well as meet fans and sign autographs.
“This event is
great for our new store,” noted Texas Roadhouse Marketing Partner Dave
Beers. “The Texas Roadhouse name has always been associated with racing,
and we are really excited to be a part of this important racing event in
the Columbus market. We also look forward to everyone seeing our new
store.”
For fans and teams
that are traveling, Cross Country Inn at 6225 Zumstein Drive has signed on
as the “Official Host Hotel” for the event with a special rate of $45.99.
To reserve rooms, interested parties can call 614-848-3819.
“This is a fun
situation for us,” Cross Country Inn General Manager Leslie Maiberger
commented. “We enjoy having the teams, officials and fans stay with us.
Plus, we get the chance to encourage them to come back for future events
in Ohio.” Cross Country Inn has multiple locations throughout Ohio and
Kentucky.
“These two sponsors
are a great combination for everyone coming in town the evening before our
event at Columbus Motor Speedway,” event co-promoter Jeff Miller noted.
“The Cross Country Inn on Zumstein is 1 mile away from the Polaris Texas
Roadhouse location. This is a great opportunity for fans to come in the
night before, stay at Cross Country Inn and enjoy dinner and the NASCAR
race on television at Texas Roadhouse. Then we’ll all head out Sunday
morning to Columbus Motor Speedway for the Inaugural Federated Auto Parts
Buckeye Bash present by K95.5.”
Headlining the
event will be the Sunoco Super Series Late Models in the Federated Auto
Parts 150. NASCAR stars Ken Schrader and Kenny Wallace will fly in that
morning to battle the Sunoco Super Series stars and 2-time ASA National
Champion Gary St. Amant in the exciting 150 lap tilt. Also, on the card
will be the USA Modified series, and the $1000 to Win Ohio Street Stock
Championship.
