Howe Racing To Sponsor Sunoco Super Series Event At Baer Field Speedway

 

Salem, IN (August 22, 2003) – CRA Sunoco Super Series officials announced today that Howe Racing Enterprises will be the Presenting Sponsor of the Ringers Gloves 100 Sunoco Super Series event at Baer Field Speedway this Sunday, August 24th. The Ringers Gloves 100 Presented By Howe Racing will be the featured event of the 2nd Annual Big Bash at Baer Field Speedway, which will also include racing action from the H.O.S.S. Sprints, the CARS Late Models and Trucks, as well as racing from several of the regular divisions that race at Baer Field Speedway and at Angola Motor Speedway.

 

Eddie Hoffman and Scott Hantz lead a strong group of Sunoco Super Series competitors entered for the Ringers Gloves 100 Presented By Howe Racing. The pair put on a spectacular battle for first place at the 6th Annual International Gold Cup 100 on August 7th with Hoffman getting the win. Last week’s series winner at Indianapolis Raceway Park, Fred Campbell, along with current series point’s leader Junior Hanley are both entered. Hanley’s car owner Larry Zent calls Baer Field Speedway his home track with his race shop and businesses located in the area.

 

Jack Landis and teammate Bud Perry are both entered for Sunday’s race. Landis finished third in the 6th Annual International Gold Cup 100, Perry gave a good accounting of himself that evening also, making his first ever start in a template late model. 2003 series winners Bobby Parsley, Brian Rievley, and Jeff Lane will be on hand as well as JR Roahrig, Jim Carbtree Jr., Bull Baker, Chuck Barnes JR. and Eddie Van Meter who are all currently in the top ten in Sunoco Super Series points. Barnes is leading the Hubler Automotive Group/Blake Carburetion Rookie Of The Year Standings. Several drivers including Terry Fisher, Terry Fisher Jr., and Scott Wolfe will be representing the Ft. Wayne, Indiana area. Howe Racing will Award the winner of the Ringers Gloves 100 Presented By Howe Racing with a $100 Product Certificate.

Pits open for the 2nd Annual Big Bash at 7AM, with practice beginning at 8AM. Qualifying begins at 11AM, with the race program scheduled to begin at 2PM. There will also be an open practice on Saturday, August 23 from 12Noon until 9PM, with a party at the track after practice.
