SALEM, Ind. (April 29, 2003) - The Scott Performance Wire Tri-State
Challenge, an award program based upon four selected Sunoco Super Series
points events in three of the states the series will visit in 2003, is set
to begin on Sunday, May 26 at the Sunoco Super Series first ever visit to
Mt. Lawn Speedway in New Castle, Indiana. The other events involved with the
Scott Performance Wire Tri-State Challenge will be the June 14th event at
Berlin Raceway located in Marne, Michigan, the July 26th event at Shady Bowl
Speedway located in DeGraff, Ohio, and the September 13th event at Anderson
Speedway located in Anderson, Indiana.
The Scott Performance Wire Tri-State Challenge will pay the driver who gets
the most series points in the four events a $400 bonus and a set of Scott
Performance Wires. The second place driver in the Scott Performance Wire
Tri-State Challenge will receive a $300 bonus. The third place driver in the
Scott Performance Wire Tri-State Challenge will receive a $200 bonus. Scott
Performance Wire will also award the 2003 Sunoco Super Series Champion with
a set of Scott Performance Wires and an additional set of Scott Performance
Wires that will be given away by random draw of the top fifteen teams in
final series points at the 2003 series awards banquet in January.
