Everidge Motor Sales to
Sponsor Lap Leader Award At Angola Motor Speedway
Salem, IN (April 24, 2003) - Everidge Motor Sales will again be the
sponsor of the Everidge Motor Sales Lap Leader Award when the Sunoco Super
Series visits Angola Motor Speedway on Friday, July 4th and again on
Saturday, August 30. The Everidge Motor Sales Lap Leader Award will consist
of a $100 bonus awarded to the driver leading the most laps of both Sunoco
Super Series event at Angola Motor Speedway in 2003.
This will be the
third season that Everidge Motor Sales has sponsored the Lap Leader Award
at Angola Motor Speedway. Scott Hantz was the winner of the Everidge Motor
Sales Lap Leader Award at the series event on May 3 last season at Angola
Motor Speedway. Hantz led a total of 98 laps in the event and looked to be
on his way to victory before contact on lap 147 from Aaron Hulings spun
Hantz out of the lead. JR Roahrig, the beneficiary of Hantz’s spin on May
3, was the Everidge Motor Sales Lap Leader Award winner at last seasons
traditional July 4th event at Angola Motor Speedway. Roahrig led the first
99 laps of the event before being passed by eventual race winner Junior
Hanley.
Everidge Motor Sales is located in Stroh, Indiana, just down the road
from Angola Motor Speedway. The family run business specializes in selling
quality used cars and trucks. Former ASA Racing Series and part time
Sunoco Super Series competitor Rick Everidge is part of the family that
owns and operates Everidge Motor Sales. Everidge plans to compete in
selected Sunoco Super Series events later in the season.
