of the Sunoco Super Series, had a record number of visits in the
month of October. Going into the month, the site was averaging 745
visits a day. By October 31st that average had grown to 792 visits a
day. A new record for visits on a single day was set twice in
October. The first record was set on Monday, October 7th when the
site received 3,077 visits, breaking the previous record of 2,336
set on Monday, August 26th. That record was broken on Sunday,
October 20th when the site received 3,312 visits.
The new monthly visit record also was broken in October with
38,620 total visits for the month, which surpassed the old record
of 27,428 in August. A new weekly mark was also set in October
with 11,331 visits between October 14th and October 20th.
The
Sunoco Super Series web site continues to be an industry leader in
the Motorsports Internet arena. Even with the 2002 race season
over, fans and competitors can keep up to date with all the series
plans and announcements for the 2003 season with the series web
site. The site also features a message board were visitors can
interact with other series fans as well as team members and series
drivers.
