CRA Sunoco Super Series Hires New Chief Technical Inspector
Salem,
Ind. (March 20, 2002) - CRA Sunoco Super Series officials
announced today the hiring of Tim Teal as the new Chief Technical
Inspector for the series. Teal, a native of Atlanta, Indiana is a
former racer at Anderson Speedway. Teal competed for nine years at
Anderson Speedway beginning in a Street Stock before moving up to a
Modified and then to a Super Truck. Teal raced his own equipment with
the help of his father, who served as his crew chief, and his wife who
also was a racer.
"After an extensive search, we felt Tim had the right qualities to get
the job done," remarked CRA Sunoco Super Series Managing Partner R.J.
Scott. "His racing knowledge is a plus, but we wanted someone who
would enforce the series rules and regulations fairly in the same
professional manner that Bill Noel did the last five years, we believe
Tim can provide that."
Retiring Chief Technical Inspector Bill Noel will work with Tim during
an upcoming training seminar and at the open practice at Anderson
Speedway on March 30th. Noel will also be on hand at the first series
event of the season on April 20th at Anderson Speedway. "I think Tim
is the perfect choice to take over as Chief Technical Inspector,"
remarked Noel, "the experience I have had with Tim in the past tells
me he will do a great job!"
"I am
really excited about getting the opportunity to work with a great
organization like the CRA Sunoco Super Series," commented Teal. "I
have a lot of respect for all the dedicated racers that compete with
the series, I can't wait to work with all the teams!" Teal is
employed at Fortville Feeders in Fortville, Indiana were he works on
HP Automation computer controlled robots and equipment.
