Champion Racing Association Unveils New
Sunoco Super Series Logo
Salem, Ind. (March 14, 2002) - Champion Racing Association
officials, in conjunction with new series title sponsor Sunoco,
unveiled the new logo for the CRA Sunoco Super Series today. The logo
combines the new series title with the traditional Sunoco diamond with
a waving checkered flag background.
"We
are really excited about the new logo," remarked CRA Sunoco Super
Series Director Glenn Luckett. "The logo was created with input from
both Champion Racing Association and Sunoco. We got what we wanted,
something that will give the series and Sunoco instant recognition!"
"The
Sunoco Marketing Department did a great job helping us put this
together," remarked CRA Sunoco Super Series Managing Partner R.J.
Scott, "I believe the series racers and fans are really going to like
the new logo. The series must create brand awareness for Sunoco, the
new logo is just what we needed to get that started."
Sunoco took over the title sponsorship of the series after three
seasons of being a multi-event sponsor and race team sponsor. Sunoco
will continue to be event sponsors at the June 8th
series event at Anderson Speedway, the August 2nd
series event at Toledo Speedway and the series season championship
event on October 20th at Indianapolis Raceway
Park. Sunoco will also sponsor the Stewart Racing Sunoco Super Series
late model driven by Todd Oliver.
"Everyone at Sunoco is very pleased with the new logo," commented
Sunoco Area Manager Bud Talbot. "I believe this is just the beginning
of the great things that will be created by Sunoco and Champion Racing
Association."
