Champion Racing Association
Releases Sanction Logo
Salem, Ind. (March 10, 2002) - The officials of the Champion
Racing Association released today their brand new sanction logo. It's
the first ever logo for the organization preparing for the sixth
season of competition in 2002.
The
Champion Racing Association was created in 1997 and co-owned today by
R.J. Scott and Glenn Luckett. The CRA oversees the scheduling,
administering, and officiating of the Sunoco Super Series.
Additionally, they have assisted in promoting events and are the sole
promoter of the season ending "Key Bank Racing Festival" at
Indianapolis Raceway Park.
In
2002, the Sunoco Super Series showcases 19 races at 10 different
racetracks in the Midwest. The schedule features return visits to
Anderson Speedway, Angola Motor Speedway, Baer Field Speedway,
Indianapolis Raceway Park, Plymouth Speedway, Shadybowl Speedway,
Toledo Speedway and Winchester Speedway. New Stops will be made at
Kalamazoo Speedway in Michigan and Columbus Motor Speedway in Ohio.
The
series will compete with the Main Event Racing Series on Sunday,
August 25 at Baer Field Speedway and Saturday, September 21 at
Columbus Motor Speedway. The Sunoco Super Series will also run a
companion event with ASA Racing Series as part of the Winchester 400
Weekend in October. The "Crown Jewel" of the Sunoco Super Series is
the Anderson 400 in July.
