After a few months of speculation and rumors, it is official, Greg De St Jean, driver of the #9 Canusa Racing Saturn will be unable to attempt a defense of the 2007 Vores Welding & Steel CRA FWD Compact Championship.

In early December Greg was injured at work. He suffered multiple herniated discs in the lumbar area of his back. He has gone through months of various treatments. After three separate epidural injections into the spine and six weeks of physical therapy, most of the injuries have recovered. However, he is having several problems including extreme pain, numbness, loss of strength, & limited use of his right leg and foot. He has been referred to Dr Dwight Tyndall, an orthopedic spinal surgeon. Dr Tyndall strongly recommended he undergo a microdiscetomy of the L5-S1. The surgery has tentatively been scheduled on April 1st. The recovery time can be 4-8 weeks. After that he will be reevaluated. Click Here.
