Qualifying Procedures: Qualifying will consist of 1 complete warm up lap and 2 consecutive laps for qualifying. Once you take the green flag that is your only attempt to qualify. A blind draw (completed before practice begins) will determine qualifying order. If you do not qualify in your proper drawn position, you may not start in the top 8, and will only receive 1 qualifying lap. A team may have their qualifying position moved, only if they have permission from the Race Director or Tech Director prior to the start of qualifying, this will only be done if approved repairs are being made to a car in order to try and qualify.

Positions 1 thru 16 will be the fastest 16 cars in qualifying. Cars will be lined up in order of the inversion drawn by the fast qualifier. The inversion can be a minimum of a three (3) up to a maximum of an eight (8)-car inversion.

To be eligible for a top fifteen (15) qualifying position, teams must purchase their qualifying tires at the track on the day of the race and qualify on stickers. Any car qualifying in the top fifteen (15) that did not purchase their qualifying tires at the track on the day of the race or do not qualify on stickers cannot start the feature better than sixteenth (16). Qualifying tires purchased on Sunday will be impounded until after practice.

Positions 17 -20 will be the top four finishers from the one 15 lap last chance race, or the top two finishers from two last chance races depending on the car count. Last chance races will be lined up according to qualifying times fastest to the slowest

Positions 21 and 22 will be the two cars highest in CRA Super Series owner points that have not yet qualified for the event. If there are no series points team(s) left the position(s) will go to the next highest qualifier(s) that has not qualified for the event.

Positions 23 and 24 will be the two cars highest in Grundy County Speedway Late Model points that have not yet qualified for the event. If there are no teams in track points left the position(s) will go to the next highest qualifier(s) that has not qualified for the event.

Positions 25 will be a past Champion of the George Appleton Memorial event. If there are no past champions left the position will go to the next highest qualifier that has not qualified for the event.

Position 26 will be a Promoters Option

The event is 125 green flag laps.
