Eddie
started racing at the age of 16 on the dirt tracks and moved to the
Speedrome for figure 8 racing a year later. He was the 1992 street stock
champion and in 1999 competed at Indianapolis Raceway Park, where he was
the SuperTruck Champion. Eddie was victorious in 18 of the 26 events and
also was the fastest qualifier on 20 occasions. He has close to 150
career wins and also made a start in Sunoco Super Series in 1999 at
Winchester Speedway. In 2000, Eddie finished seventh in the standings
and produced four top-ten finishes finishing runner-up in he rookie of
the year standings. In 2001, in a limited schedule, he finished 17th in
the standings with four top-ten finishes. Van Meter placed ninth in the
2002 standings, with one top-five finish and four top-10s.
MOVING TO 3RD PLACE in 2005
this team that had their best year ever in CRA competition. They will
easily attribute their success to a more focused driver and the addition
of a legendary crew chief. Although a win eluded them during the year,
they were number 1 in laps completed…an awesome testament to a drivers
patience and a crews preparation. During the season they recorded 1 fast
time, 7 top 5 qualifying efforts, 6 top 5 finishes and 11 top 10’s.

DRIVER HONORS FOR THE 2005 SEASON
In 2007 & 2008 Van Meter has raced part
time with the CRA Super Series when business prevented him from
traveling. During the last two season he has been racing full time in
the Late Model class at the Speedrome in Indianapolis.
