John VanDoorn came into the CRA Super Series in 2007 with a bang.  He took the Rookie of the Year honors and nearly became only the second driver to win the championship in his rookie year finishing second behind Chris Gabehart.  2008 was a disappointment on the track as the team chemistry was not there, so for 2009 it was a new team with a new owner.  After a season in which he was never lower than second in points and either led or shared the lead every race after the first VanDoorn went on to win his first CRA Super Series Championship.
