Kenny
began racing in street stock ranks at Mt. Lawn and Anderson speedways.
The 1997 Sunoco Super Series Champion was the 1993 and 1994 points
runner-up at Winchester in the sportsman division. He has amassed over
25 victories in stock car racing. Kenny has also competed in the All Pro
Series and the defunct Hooters Late Model Series. He has been a regular
since the birth of the SSS and notched two wins and eight top-ten
finishes in his championship season. In 2001, Kenny finished fourth in
points with 13 top-ten finishes and two poles. In 2002, Tweedy won the
season opener at Anderson Speedway and produced six top-10 finishes.
IN 8TH PLACE in 2005 is a
group that had a great first year together as Tweedy teamed with Fehl
Motorsports. They brought together one of the series original car
owners, with a championship driver and produced the best season results
for one of the series favorite car owners. During their first full
season together, they had 1 top 5 qualifying effort, 2 top 5 finishes
and 9 top 10’s as well as claiming a hard charger award during the year.
They were also one of only 4 teams to travel to all races including the
non points events.
2008 saw Tweedy team up with Ken Muller
and move back to his original number 2 car. He started 15 races,
had two Top Five and five Top Ten finishes.
