Tyler Roahrig is the son of a long time
competitor, JR Roahrig with the CRA Super Series and the nephew of a
well known former late model racer, Dave Roahrig. He has been coming to
the track with his father for many years, and is a familiar face in the
pits at Super Series races. With this linage he would seem destined do
very well in late model racing and he has not disappointed. In his
rookie season with the CRA Super Series Tyler Roahrig finished sixth in
the final season standings and took
the K&N Filters Rookie of the Year Award for the 2009 season.
He had four Top 10 finishes during the
season racing against the veteran drivers who race with the CRA cars every
week. "I have learned a lot racing against these guys this summer."
Roahrig stated. "These are some of the best drivers anywhere, and racing
against them was harder than I thought it would be."
