Zimmerman raced in two races in 2007 and finished in the Top 5 once.  Running a full schedule in 2008 Zimmerman won three races, eight Top 5, and a Top 10 finish in every race on his way to the Point Championship.  He took the Championship at the last race when the points leader, his teammate, was unable to start the feature due to mechanical problems. 

"I could not be happier than winning this unless my partner had finished second."  Zimmerman said after winning the Championship.  "Last year we were disqualified several times, so this year we built a whole new car, and came here to race.  These tech guys are great, they keep the rules the same for everybody, and this year we have been ok."
