As a safety worker during most races at
Winchester Speedway Brian Redmond is always prepared to jump into action, while
hoping he does not have to. But when the Vore's Welding and Steel FWD
Compacts are on the track, Redmond trades his safety worker uniform for a driver
uniform and races hard on the track. He is a very vocal supporter of the
series, and enjoys the camaraderie of the drivers, that race against each other
on the track, but help each before each race, working on the others cars and
lending each other parts as needed. "This is a great group of guys to race
with, we have a lot of fun watching the other races, and really enjoy each
others company." Redmond said.
He is one of only three drivers with more than
two victories, including the Vore's Welding & Steel CRA FWD Compacts Winchester
75 in 2007, the longest CRA Race for this division to date. Following the
race Redmond stated, "This was our Daytona 500, the biggest race of the
year. I'm not up there in the points due to a couple DNF's early in the season,
so I really wanted to win this race. I want to thank my sponsor Vore’s
Welding & Steel, this win goes out to all the safety workers here at Winchester
Speedway."
